What is a compound adjective?
Definition
Compound adjectives are adjectives made up of two or more words
usually with hyphens (-) between them. Example: A state-controlled
university. / My parents are happily-married.
A compound adjective with a number does not take “s” of the
plural. Example: A five-floor building.
Three five-floor buildings. / I have two six-year-old sisters.
